My free Lightroom presets work with images in different formats (RAW, JPEG, PNG, TIFF…). But I highly recommend using a RAW format, which offers the most flexibility and produces the highest quality.

For the demonstration, I used the outdoor portrait image.
Using the Timeless Free Vintage Lightroom Preset
If you check my portfolio, you won’t find many vintage-style photographs. But in reality, I love the postprocessing treatment that mimics the old photos with faded colors and grain.
I use the vintage processing style fairly often with family pictures and personal projects.
When developing the Timeless free vintage Lightroom preset, my goal was to create a universal preset you can use with different types of photographs, portraits, street photos, cityscapes, and landscapes.
There are 4 main characteristics of the Timeless preset. It has muted colors, low contrast, grain, and blurry edges.
Since I understood that grain and blur do not work with certain types of images, I included 2 adjustment presets: Blur Off and Grain Off.
The adjustment presets will allow you to turn off blur, grain, or both without affecting the rest of the edits.
For the demonstration, I used a foggy landscape photo I took early in the morning at the river.
To start, I used the Timeless preset.
It rarely happens that you apply preset to a photo, and it works right away. You always need to do some tweaking and sometimes even extensive ones.
For the final tweaks, I used the TOOLKIT adjustment presets.
The TOOLKIT is the collection of Adjustment Presets. The presets allow fine-tuning of a photo without altering the style and Lightroom editing tools.
You can download the TOOLKIT Adjustment Presets, which is part of my free Travel Preset Collection, here: Free Travel Preset Collection
Next, I used the TOOLKIT.
I applied the following adjustments:
10. Open Shadows ++++
32. Vignetting ++
43. Midtone Contrast ++
The Editing Formula: Timeless (10, 32, 43)
And here is the final result:
