My free Lightroom presets work with images in different formats (RAW, JPEG, PNG, TIFF…). But I highly recommend using a RAW format, which offers the most flexibility and produces the highest quality.

For the demonstration, I used the outdoor portrait image.
Using Free Cinematic Lightroom Preset
I created a free Cinematic Lightroom preset to emulate the film-like looks of old and classic movies.
The cinematic presets are widely used in portrait and street photography and less popular in landscape photography. But since landscape photography is my preferred genre of photography, I wanted to create a preset that can be effective with any type of photography, including photos of nature.
For the demonstration, I used the photo I took years ago while visiting Yosemite National Park for the first time. It features the famous El Capitan, a granite monolith that is very popular among climbers and photographers.
The Cinematic free Lightroom preset is a purely artistic preset. It was not designed to achieve a natural look but rather something unique and interesting. I achieved it by manipulating the colors of the photo, emphasizing some colors, and desaturation others. Plus, I shifted the hues in some colors as well.
After applying the Cinematic preset to the photo, I still needed to make some adjustments and tweaks.
For such final tweaks, I used the TOOLKIT adjustment presets.
The TOOLKIT is the collection of Adjustment Presets. The presets allow fine-tuning of a photo without altering the style and Lightroom editing tools.
You can download the TOOLKIT Adjustment Presets, which is part of my free Travel Preset Collection, here: Free Travel Preset Collection
Next, I used the TOOLKIT.
I applied the following adjustments:
8. Open Shadows ++
21. Vibrance ++
32. Vignetting ++
43. Midtone Contrast ++
The Editing Formula: Cinematic (8, 21, 32, 43)
And here is the final result:
