The interesting fact about the featured free raw photo is that I took it after switching from Canon to Sony. Over the holidays I sold all my Canon gear and bought in one shot Sony a6000 with Sony 10-18mm f/4 and Sony 16-80mm f/4. And the trip to Hawaii and California was my very first travel experience with the Sony gear.
When you downloaded the free RAW image check its quality. It is very high even by today’s standards. The quality of images that Sony sensors produce was one of my main motivations for the switch.
You won’t have any problems with editing the free RAW photo. It is a typical landscape/seascape shot. The dynamic range is not extreme because the thick clouds cover the entire sky, making editing easier.
If you use Lightroom presets from my free collection then the Natural preset should work very well here.

All free raw images I share, I took myself, and they belong to me. They are not sourced from the public. But they are still copyrighted.
You are free to edit my RAW photos. And if you want to share them on your blog or social media, go for it; all I am asking is to credit me with the link to my site. And you can not use them commercially.
