I love visiting Grand Manan Island which located in the heart of the Bay of Fundy. I consider it to be one of the ultimate photography destinations. It is simply beautiful.
Normally, when I travel to Atlantic Canada, I dedicate one full day to spend on Grand Manan. I always take the very first ferry in the morning and after 2-hour ride I arrive at Grand Manan around 9am.

It is always foggy in the morning and you have to wait at least an hour for the sun to start burning fog away. Every time I visit Grand Manan, the fog starts to disappear from the southern tip of the island – Southwest Head. This is where I always drive after arriving at the island and start my photo exploration from there.
This year it was no different, except that it took almost 3 hours for the fog to completely disappear.
Interesting fact: The Grand Manan has free public WiFi access and it covers the entire island, it is extremely convenient when you travel.
Shooting & Processing
I took 3 bracketed shots on a tripod (-1, 0, +1). The challenge was to find big enough spot to set up a tripod.
I used single RAW image editing in Lightroom. I described the process in Introduction to Lightroom Rapid Editing System.
First I applied Lightroom preset Natural from my Landscape Collection and later I used TOOLKIT to adjust exposure mostly because the photo was a bit underexposed.
The Lightroom Preset Editing Formula: Natural (2, 9, 17, 30)
