Fallen Leaves on the Deck (Montreal)

This is the spot from where $2 ferry leaves for one of the most spectacular 20min open-air rides from Lachine Canal along Saint Lawrence River. The ferry is not operational at the time of year but the pontoon deck is not removed yet. I jumped over the fence and took few shots, setting the tripod on the deck, trying to include plenty of fall foliage into the composition.

Shooting & Processing

Shooting and processing were easy. I took 3 bracketed shots on a tripod but used only middle exposure for editing.

I used Lightroom Rapid Editing, applying Open Sky preset first from Fall Colors Collection and then used TOOLKIT adjustments.

Lightroom Editing Formula: Open Sky (1, 9, 31)

Deconstructing Featured Photo

Processing:

Lightroom: import, tagging, straightening, Lightroom Rapid Editing, Editing Formula: Open Sky (1, 9, 31)

  • Topaz DeNoise was used to reduce digital noise (sky, water).
  • Topaz Clarity was used to enhance details and boost colors (deck, trees).
