Normally, before I leave for any of my trips I plan pretty much every single sunset and sunrise for every day I travel. The day I took this photo was the very first day of my trip to Atlantic US and Atlantic Canada.
The plan was to cross the border at Calais a couple of hours before the sunset and be ready for the evening light around Saint Andrews.
What I did not expect was the heavy traffic around Acadian National Park where I wasted two hours of my time and I had no chance to make it across the border before the sunset.
It was getting late and I was desperately looking for coastal access to be able to take a couple of shots of the St Croix River.
I found this spot just in time before the sunset light was gone.

Shooting & Processing
The challenge with this shot was that it was getting dark really fast and I decided not to waste my time setting up the tripod. I boosted the ISO to 400, opened up the aperture (f/3.5) and took a bunch of shots handheld.
I used Lightroom Rapid Editing for Landscapes, applying Natural preset first from Landscape Collection and then used TOOLKIT adjustments.
