As a photographer who prefers a simplified and sometimes a minimalistic approach to photography, I stopped using photo filters a long time ago. I find that filters complicate the process of taking photos, plus most of the effects I can replicate in editing tools such as Photoshop and Lightroom.
The only filter that can not be fully replaced by editing software is Polarized Filter. This is the only filter I still have in my camera bag.
Today I am featuring a short and sweet introduction to Circular Polarizing Filters by Joshua Cripps who is a professional photographer and an educator.
